Powering The Future: Innovative Solutions for Power Distribution
At RQAW | DCCM, our Power team specializes in designing and upgrading medium voltage distribution systems, providing tailored solutions to improve grid reliability and resilience. We partner with both non-profit and investor-owned utility companies across Indiana, delivering system improvement projects that modernize infrastructure and enhance overall performance.
With support from DCCM’s BinkleyBarfield division, we provide expertise in both overhead and underground power distribution. BinkleyBarfield bring 70 years of power expertise and strong partnerships with major utility co-ops throughout the country. As underground distribution begins to gain traction as a viable alternative to overhead lines, our team is equipped to support projects from initial studies to final energization, offering comprehensive solutions in research, design, permitting, and management.
Our services also include system hardening to strengthen power lines against storms, converting older systems to more efficient voltage levels, and improving right-of-way areas to prevent outages. Our work encompasses field inspections, structural analysis, reliability upgrades, and modernization efforts to bring aging infrastructure up to current standards.
Our recent projects include:
- Redesigning underground distribution for greater reliability.
- Converting overhead distribution to underground distribution.
- Strengthening existing systems to minimize power outages.
- Performing a stray voltage investigation to mitigate potential hazards.
Whether it’s designing new installations, upgrading existing systems, or implementing proactive maintenance solutions, RQAW | DCCM is committed to building a stronger, more resilient power grid for the communities we serve.
